If you want to feel energetic, inspired, happy and carefree you need to act. As Mike Murdoch so wisely said: You will never change your life unless you change something you do every day.”

To live a better life you will need to step out of your comfort zone and make the changes. Let me be honest it won’t be easy but it would be worth it.

These days people spend too much time worrying. It feels like stress controls your life the good news is that you can learn to relax and start living your life. Living carefree is a life where worries do not upset you.

The key is to get active, manage your stress, and stay carefree. The truth is that we are living in a culture that continuously supports anxiety and it has become a pandemic. We worry about everything and become anxious easily.

Being anxious all the time can become a medical disorder as it could lead to excessive nervousness, fear, apprehension, and worry. When your mind and body become obsessed with mundane things, which may or may not happen you can become sleepless and restless.

It is key to control your thoughts to avoid becoming anxious. Remember, the source of anxiety belongs within our thoughts and in most cases, you are not even aware of it.

So if you are constantly worry imagining all types of scenarios in a given situation you need to keep reading to learn how to have fun and live a carefree life.

It is important to understand that there is not a perfect life as something will always go wrong.

Remember, anxiety comes from our uncertainty thoughts.

Stop thinking about what could go wrong. When something goes wrong you will have the means to act on it when needed to.

You have to know that great opportunity is often accompanied by great opposition. Always choose to think primarily about the great open door, not the daunting opponents(always focus on the open door!).

Don’t get me wrong releasing attachment to the outcome doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care. Yes, I know that caring means it is important for you and it is okay to fight for what you want.

The problem is that when you get attached to things having to turn out the way you want them to you set yourself up to disappointment. Most of the time, things turn out better than we expected. And, don’t forget that sometimes the path and outcome could look different than what we originally planned.

The key to feeling more carefree is to appreciate what’s amazing right now. Set your goal, make a plan, and take action. Remember, the path to get to your goal may change but your goal shouldn’t.

Always remember that difficulties are not failures they are feedback.

If you want to become more carefree you need to make time for fun and to keep it. You are probably planning your day around work or school, but don’t forget to schedule a time for the things that you want to do as well.

When you get busier, you can probably choose to use your free time to do nothing. Stop! Stay away from Netflix and start planning fun activities. Schedule on a fishing trip for next weekend, or plan a romantic date with your partner.

Make a point of making time for fun.

Some ideas to start having fun include:

  • Set an evening a week aside as a games night
  • Organize secret dates
  • Plan with friends and family an activity
  • Cook
  • Go to an event and meet new people
  • Join a gym
  • Watch stand-up comedy
  • Play a board game

4. Practice Gratefulness

To live a better life you need to make an effort to practice gratitude. The following steps can help you start feeling more grateful, and appreciative of the good things in your life.

Having a morning ritual will help you create your reality by choosing how you show up each day. The question is how you want to live today?

Write down your intentions for the day. And decide how do you want to feel confident, clear, peaceful, full of love and compassion?

Every time you make a conscious decision on how you want to feel you start with power. Choose your emotions and take action. The key is to act not to react.

6. Surround Yourself With Fun and Positive People.

The best way to have fun is to surround yourself with people that you enjoy being around. Look for people who make your life easier and more fun, as opposed to more stressful.

To be carefree, it is key to be around people who have common goals. Spending time with people should be easy, not an obligation.

Avoid toxic people that could drag you down with them. Decide to only socialize with people who will support each other and who want to have a good time. Remember, a positive attitude is infectious. 

Being positive is not just a nice way to live. It is the way to live.
